Your goal is to progress through the levels of hell in order to rescue your girlfriend. Each level is a maze where you rescue glowing orbs that represent lost souls. As Dante, you are led by Virgil through the different stages in order to avoid demons and other evil entities to the ending portals of each screen. I like the challenge of getting across the falling tiles that reappear.<br/><br /><br/><br />I did not find any truly awful permissions and appreciate that greatly. The game plays well, except for one thing. I really don't like the way the control "arrows" you press to move overlap the game grid. There have been some times when I'm trying to move around the board but the arrows block my view. It does not happen all the time, but it is annoying so I removed a star for game play.<br/><br /><br/><br />This app is worth the purchase if you enjoy puzzle games such as "World's Hardest Game" or Quell, you will probably like the game mechanics of Dante: The Inferno. The graphics are great, the game is challenging but not impossible, and the storyline makes for a great backdrop for the puzzles. The idea of incorporating the levels of Hell from Dante's Inferno is a great idea. If you see this as a FAOTD, definitely get it for ages 14+ (the game can be scary to little kids, even though it states it is for all ages), and if you enjoy puzzle games, it is even worth the price if you don't see it as a FAOTD.</div>

I've had no prior experience using touch-screen commands but had very little difficulty adjusting. Other comments you've read including battery life are accurate from my experience. Be aware there are limitations: Only one USB port; no camera a la iPad; very small key pad especially if you've got large hands and are used to full size keyboards; 32GB pad is really too small for heavy usage.<br/><br /><br/><br />Confirming other's comments plus some of my own:<br/><br />1. Do purchase 64GB pad even though it costs extra.<br/><br />2. Immediately set updates for manual selection vs automatic.<br/><br />3. I've left keypad "as-is" and have been very satisfied with default settings.<br/><br />4. I immediately set-up Firefox as default browser (with ixQuick HTTPS overlay for security).<br/><br />5. I immediately set-up Classic-Shell overlay to maintain Win-7 versatility. (Installed easily and works fine).<br/><br />6. I immediately added Glary Utilities; CCleaner; MalwareBytes; and a few others I use regularly - no problems.<br/><br />7. I immediately added a Logitech mouse simply because I prefer it to a keypad for daily usage.<br/><br />8. Consider buying/using a USB dock due to the single USB port provided in the keyboard. (You won't need separate power supply since the keyboard USB port will automatically power the external dock).<br/><br />9. There are a bunch of aps installed that I don't use or want (social media, et Al) but I've not yet deleted. I'm guessing I'd free up more space on my limited 32GB pad since I made the mistake of not ordering the 64GB version.<br/><br />10. I've downloaded programs directly and I've transfered programs/data via thumb drive; all with no problems.<br/><br />11. The system works simultaneously with mouse and touch-screen commands both activated at the same time.<br/><br />12. Be aware there is no CD drive (or DVD drive). Not a problem since you can add with a portable USB connector. Mine works fine for both the CD/DVD drive and the older 3-1/2" floppy drive (guess I just really dated myself).<br/><br /><br/><br />Hope this helps you with your eval. I would have liked to have known much of this prior to my purchase. The single change I would have made in my order would have been to upgrade to the 64GB pad.</div>

I purchased the product for my own use.<br/><br /><br/><br />What is it?<br/><br /><br/><br />The Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 is the aforementioned company’s latest foray into the midrange tablet market. With these tablets you’re not likely to find a “retina display” or anything over 720p resolution, but they’re more reasonably priced, and therefore, more likely to be adopted by more people.<br/><br /><br/><br />Specifications<br/><br /><br/><br />Processor: 1.2 GHz Quad Core<br/><br />Memory: 1.5GB<br/><br />Storage: 16GB with additional microSD slot<br/><br />Display: 1280×800<br/><br />Operating System: Android Kit Kat 4.4 with Samsung’s TouchWiz UI<br/><br />As you can see, those specs really aren’t too shabby, but they’re definitely not bleeding edge technology. However, having the latest and greatest isn’t always the best. For example, I recently purchased the higher end Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 and was utterly disappointed in it. Yes, the screen was beautiful but you could tell that not a lot of games had been properly coded for that resolution as the HD graphics appeared pixelated and blocky. Also, the Tab Pro suffered from massive lag and stuttering when when navigating through the operating system. You can read about my experience with that tablet here. It was promptly returned to Best Buy.<br/><br /><br/><br />Back to the Galaxy Tab 4.<br/><br /><br/><br />As mentioned earlier, it runs Kit Kat 4.4 with Samsung’s custom TouchWiz user interface over top. In my opinion, this isn’t a bad thing since I have never been a fan of HTC’s Sense UI. It sadly still comes packed full of bloatware that I almost always remove if possible.<br/><br /><br/><br />Initial Thoughts<br/><br /><br/><br />Being an ex-member of the cult of Steve Jobs, I am still getting used to the Android world and the lack of high resolution displays in some products. The Galaxy S5, which I own, has the best display and form factor on the market right now. Are you listening Apple? Thankfully, there are cheaper Android tablets available that still offer a high quality user experience.<br/><br /><br/><br />Once you go through the obligatory setup screens and sync your applications, the tablet is zippy and runs with no lag whatsoever. Overall memory utilization is low when using several apps at once and multi-tasking.<br/><br /><br/><br />Display<br/><br /><br/><br />OK, this is a 720p display. You will notice a difference if using an S5 and then the Galaxy Tab 4 – but let’s not compare the two. The 1280×800 screen is actually quite beautiful and bright. This is one of the brighter screens I’ve seen on a midrange tablet. Text is sharp as are the graphics, both are quickly rendered thanks to the 1.5GB RAM and quad core processor. Yes, I think it should be a 1080p panel, but it’s a $319 tablet.<br/><br /><br/><br />Performance<br/><br /><br/><br />I was able to open apps and switch between them fairly quickly. This little tablet is definitely more responsive than it’s bigger, more expensive brother. Even under heavy use the Tab 4 performed excellent. It’s able to handle video encoded to 1080p with no stutter, even though it’s obviously rendered at 720p on the screen. No complaints at all about performance.<br/><br /><br/><br />Final Impressions<br/><br /><br/><br />I’m still an Apple fanboy, just now living in an Android world. I really like the Galaxy Tab 4. It’s fast, responsive, light, and does what I need it to do. I feel like for the most part, I could ditch my laptop when traveling. That is, as long as I’m not running a GoPro, or editing HD video.<br/><br /><br/><br />The display is not as sharp as I like, but the applications and games I use are not upated to be displayed yet at the higher resolutions on the Tab Pro.<br/><br /><br/><br />Kit Kat has grown, the OS takes up about 4GB of the internal 16GB, and by the time you add-in the Samsung applications and associated bloatware, you have only about 9GB of usable space. That almost sounds like a Surface tablet, no? LOL Sorry, couldn’t resist. Samsung says the answer is to use a microSD card – which you will want to do immediately. They state on their site, that a maximum of 64GB is supported, although I am tempted to buy a 128GB and try it. I know those work in the S5.<br/><br /><br/><br />So, should you buy it? If you like new gadgets, sure. If you want a great performing Android tablet for a great price, absolutely. I can’t really find anything wrong with this little guy. It’s a keeper.<br/><br /><br/><br />UPDATE<br/><br /><br/><br />I pre-ordered the Galaxy Tab 4 on Amazon at $349. It was released May 1st, and it looks like the price was dropped to $319.99, making it an even better value.</div>

I went to the store to buy a 7 inch unit but quickly decided to upgrade to the 8 inch version. There were several features that I was concerned about and the 8 inch unit just fit my needs better.<br/><br /><br/><br />* Larger screen size for reading<br/><br />* More basic internal memory at 16 GIG versus 8 GIG for the 7 inch unit<br/><br />* The ability to upgrade to a 64 GIG SD card instead of just 32 GIG<br/><br /><br/><br />Just remember that in my experience your need for more memory grows as you use your tablet more and if you buy a smaller memory upgrade capability you may regret it. The price difference on launch day was only $40 more. I already own 8 tablets in my family so my experience has proven this need for more memory. As you add more books and more apps the memory slowly gets eaten up. I went ahead and also purchased a Samsung 64 GIG Micro SD memory card and I got a Class 10 Pro series at a cost of $55. It reads at 70 MB/s and a write speed of 20 MB/s. I apologize for the length of the video but I get excited over good technology. Overall the tablet is impressive and it is well worth the money based on the quality and performance that I have seen. The CPU and strong WIFI connection really shines with its speed. I was using a strong 2.4 GHz WIFI and I downloaded the speedtest app from Google Play and I could download data at 13.36 Mbps and upload data at 2.09 Mbps. Since I am on ATT Uverse that is a reasonable result. The tablet can use either a 2.4 GHz or a 5 GHz WIFI channel. On the 5GHz frequency I got 17.71 Mbps download and 2.24 Mbps upload.<br/><br /><br/><br />I used the Amazon AppStore as I own over 1000 apps and it was fast and easy to download many of them. I could transfer them to the SD card to conserve my internal memory. I had to do this manually on some of the apps and others went to the SD card automatically.<br/><br /><br/><br />The sound of the speaker is pretty loud for its size. I paired the tablet with a Bluetooth speaker and the process is fast and easy. I use Bluetooth a lot and I was glad to see it work so well and Bluetooth 4.0 is the low power version to help reduce battery consumption.<br/><br /><br/><br />Over three hours of continuous work the battery dropped from 98% to 62% which is pretty good considering I downloaded over 950 books and 35 apps. I love the fact that I can use my Amazon books and apps so easily and still have access to the Google Play Store to download utilities and apps that are not available on Amazon. It is like having the best of both worlds.<br/><br /><br/><br />Photographs are easy to take and edit. I even shot some videos. I wanted to include some in my online video but there was not enough space and time remaining to do so.<br/><br /><br/><br />Using an app called Hangouts I was able to do face to face video calls and text messaging with my wife using our gmail account emails. The quality was as good as Facetime and the connection worked very well. I had to install the app Hangouts on my wife's iPhone 5S and the app is free on iTunes. The app was already installed on my Samsung Galaxy Tab 4.<br/><br /><br/><br />I continue to be impressed with the performance and capability of this tablet.<br/><br /><br/><br />I did want to add that the case is slippery and a little wide to hold so I suggest that you get a case to improve your ability to grip the tablet and hold it.</div>

I purchased the product for my own use.<br/><br /><br/><br />What is it?<br/><br /><br/><br />The Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 is the aforementioned company’s latest foray into the midrange tablet market. With these tablets you’re not likely to find a “retina display” or anything over 720p resolution, but they’re more reasonably priced, and therefore, more likely to be adopted by more people.<br/><br /><br/><br />Specifications<br/><br /><br/><br />Processor: 1.2 GHz Quad Core<br/><br />Memory: 1.5GB<br/><br />Storage: 16GB with additional microSD slot<br/><br />Display: 1280×800<br/><br />Operating System: Android Kit Kat 4.4 with Samsung’s TouchWiz UI<br/><br />As you can see, those specs really aren’t too shabby, but they’re definitely not bleeding edge technology. However, having the latest and greatest isn’t always the best. For example, I recently purchased the higher end Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 and was utterly disappointed in it. Yes, the screen was beautiful but you could tell that not a lot of games had been properly coded for that resolution as the HD graphics appeared pixelated and blocky. Also, the Tab Pro suffered from massive lag and stuttering when when navigating through the operating system. You can read about my experience with that tablet here. It was promptly returned to Best Buy.<br/><br /><br/><br />Back to the Galaxy Tab 4.<br/><br /><br/><br />As mentioned earlier, it runs Kit Kat 4.4 with Samsung’s custom TouchWiz user interface over top. In my opinion, this isn’t a bad thing since I have never been a fan of HTC’s Sense UI. It sadly still comes packed full of bloatware that I almost always remove if possible.<br/><br /><br/><br />Initial Thoughts<br/><br /><br/><br />Being an ex-member of the cult of Steve Jobs, I am still getting used to the Android world and the lack of high resolution displays in some products. The Galaxy S5, which I own, has the best display and form factor on the market right now. Are you listening Apple? Thankfully, there are cheaper Android tablets available that still offer a high quality user experience.<br/><br /><br/><br />Once you go through the obligatory setup screens and sync your applications, the tablet is zippy and runs with no lag whatsoever. Overall memory utilization is low when using several apps at once and multi-tasking.<br/><br /><br/><br />Display<br/><br /><br/><br />OK, this is a 720p display. You will notice a difference if using an S5 and then the Galaxy Tab 4 – but let’s not compare the two. The 1280×800 screen is actually quite beautiful and bright. This is one of the brighter screens I’ve seen on a midrange tablet. Text is sharp as are the graphics, both are quickly rendered thanks to the 1.5GB RAM and quad core processor. Yes, I think it should be a 1080p panel, but it’s a $319 tablet.<br/><br /><br/><br />Performance<br/><br /><br/><br />I was able to open apps and switch between them fairly quickly. This little tablet is definitely more responsive than it’s bigger, more expensive brother. Even under heavy use the Tab 4 performed excellent. It’s able to handle video encoded to 1080p with no stutter, even though it’s obviously rendered at 720p on the screen. No complaints at all about performance.<br/><br /><br/><br />Final Impressions<br/><br /><br/><br />I’m still an Apple fanboy, just now living in an Android world. I really like the Galaxy Tab 4. It’s fast, responsive, light, and does what I need it to do. I feel like for the most part, I could ditch my laptop when traveling. That is, as long as I’m not running a GoPro, or editing HD video.<br/><br /><br/><br />The display is not as sharp as I like, but the applications and games I use are not upated to be displayed yet at the higher resolutions on the Tab Pro.<br/><br /><br/><br />Kit Kat has grown, the OS takes up about 4GB of the internal 16GB, and by the time you add-in the Samsung applications and associated bloatware, you have only about 9GB of usable space. That almost sounds like a Surface tablet, no? LOL Sorry, couldn’t resist. Samsung says the answer is to use a microSD card – which you will want to do immediately. They state on their site, that a maximum of 64GB is supported, although I am tempted to buy a 128GB and try it. I know those work in the S5.<br/><br /><br/><br />So, should you buy it? If you like new gadgets, sure. If you want a great performing Android tablet for a great price, absolutely. I can’t really find anything wrong with this little guy. It’s a keeper.<br/><br /><br/><br />UPDATE<br/><br /><br/><br />I pre-ordered the Galaxy Tab 4 on Amazon at $349. It was released May 1st, and it looks like the price was dropped to $319.99, making it an even better value.</div>

I really do enjoy playing this game.<br/><br /><br/><br />- Sam<br/><br /><br/><br />********************************END OF UPDATE***********************************<br/><br /><br/><br />I find it very interesting to see a FAOTD with no previous reviews. It's like a hidden gem just waiting to be found, but it's also a little bit risky considering you're just going off of looks and permissions. However, I think this game has a good amount of potential.<br/><br /><br/><br />First of all, the game concept is incredibly simple: Get the bunnies home and earn stars! You do this by giving the bunnies commands using the buttons on the bottom of the screen, such as walk, stop, and dig. In addition to those commands, there are four other buttons to note:<br/><br /><br/><br />- Fast forward - double the speed of the bunnies (very useful for the impatient, as these bunnies are slow)<br/><br />- Pause - pause the game<br/><br />- Hints - You are given 10 base hints initially, and every three stars you earn gets you another hint to use.<br/><br />- Lightning - Kills a bunny if it gets stuck for some reason<br/><br /><br/><br />At the end of each level, you earn points for every bunny that successfully makes it to the bunny home. During the level, there are vegetables to be collected that can earn you extra points. If you get enough points, three stars are yours, and you get that extra hint in addition to unlocking more levels and, eventually, more worlds!<br/><br /><br/><br />I've compressed my previous edits here because it was getting long and redundant. Here is a general list of patterns I've noticed for getting a certain number of stars per level, based on the experiences I've had while playing today:<br/><br /><br/><br />- You get one star for getting most if not all of the bunnies to the home but don't get all the vegetables.<br/><br /><br/><br />- You get two stars for collecting all the vegetables and a majority of the bunnies bunnies home.<br/><br /><br/><br />- You get three stars for collecting all the vegetables and getting all of the bunnies home (or all but one or two, depending on how many bunnies there are in a level).<br/><br /><br/><br />At the beginning of each level, you are given a short visual introduction of any new information concerning the current level you are on. This includes things like introducing new commands, showing you what a sign means, and giving you initial hints to get you on the right track. In addition, there is a more in-depth tutorial in the options menu, which gives you visual as well as written descriptions of everything.<br/><br /><br/><br />Now, although this game is pretty fun and the bunnies are SO adorable (especially when they talk), I do have a couple of negatives to note:<br/><br /><br/><br />1) File size. This game is a whopping 47Mb, which isn't too bad, considering there are 4 worlds of levels and the graphics are pretty good. However, it's worth mentioning that this will take a while to download, like a good 5 minutes for standard connection speeds.<br/><br /><br/><br />2) Transitions. While the graphics are of decent quality, some parts of the game are a bit laggy. This includes scrolling on the tutorial in the options menu, and moving from menu to menu. In addition, the music loop transition is a little choppy (as in there is a short but noticeable gap between the end and beginning of a track).<br/><br /><br/><br />So, in short, here's my star tally for this game:<br/><br /><br/><br />+4 stars for the game itself. I'm not going to dock any stars from my review, as it's a predictable and avoidable error, and simply restarting the app without enabling a network connection fixes the problem so I can still play.<br/><br /><br/><br />It was pointed out to me in a comment that this might just be an error with the Amazon licensing and not the application itself, which is a little better than what I was originally thinking.<br/><br /><br/><br />- Sam<br/><br /><br/><br />Edit 08-01: The above bug appears to have been fixed in the most recent update. The quad core processor is very impressive and browsing the internet was fast and easy. Adding my Gmail account to the tablet literally took a minute. I put together a video to show you the locations for the controls and what the tablet looks like. It is a bit long and I couldn't even talk about all of the items that I wanted to include. I apologize for the length of the video but I get excited over good technology. Overall the tablet is impressive and it is well worth the money based on the quality and performance that I have seen. The CPU and strong WIFI connection really shines with its speed. I was using a strong 2.4 GHz WIFI and I downloaded the speedtest app from Google Play and I could download data at 13.36 Mbps and upload data at 2.09 Mbps. Since I am on ATT Uverse that is a reasonable result. The tablet can use either a 2.4 GHz or a 5 GHz WIFI channel. On the 5GHz frequency I got 17.71 Mbps download and 2.24 Mbps upload.<br/><br /><br/><br />I used the Amazon AppStore as I own over 1000 apps and it was fast and easy to download many of them. I could transfer them to the SD card to conserve my internal memory. I had to do this manually on some of the apps and others went to the SD card automatically.<br/><br /><br/><br />The sound of the speaker is pretty loud for its size. I paired the tablet with a Bluetooth speaker and the process is fast and easy. I use Bluetooth a lot and I was glad to see it work so well and Bluetooth 4.0 is the low power version to help reduce battery consumption.<br/><br /><br/><br />Over three hours of continuous work the battery dropped from 98% to 62% which is pretty good considering I downloaded over 950 books and 35 apps. I love the fact that I can use my Amazon books and apps so easily and still have access to the Google Play Store to download utilities and apps that are not available on Amazon. It is like having the best of both worlds.<br/><br /><br/><br />Photographs are easy to take and edit. I even shot some videos. I wanted to include some in my online video but there was not enough space and time remaining to do so.<br/><br /><br/><br />Using an app called Hangouts I was able to do face to face video calls and text messaging with my wife using our gmail account emails. The quality was as good as Facetime and the connection worked very well. I had to install the app Hangouts on my wife's iPhone 5S and the app is free on iTunes. The app was already installed on my Samsung Galaxy Tab 4.<br/><br /><br/><br />I continue to be impressed with the performance and capability of this tablet.<br/><br /><br/><br />I did want to add that the case is slippery and a little wide to hold so I suggest that you get a case to improve your ability to grip the tablet and hold it.</div>

The touch controls are responsive and work quite well. The sound and music are great. The retro graphics are impressive as well (even on my 3+ year old phone). The dialogue is well written and even made me laugh a couple of times. The game is very difficult, without being cheap. It has six characters (3 to start, 3 to unlock), all with their own storyline, weapons, powers, and upgrades. There are even hats to collect!<br/><br /><br/><br />The Bad: Not much! I'm just nitpicking, really. Because everything is procedurally generated, sometimes you can get less than impressive floor layouts. I find it can be a little frustrating when you fight 5+ waves of enemies and winning unlocks a room completely devoid of any treasure. It would also be nice if you could review the text of your current weapons/armor and their current upgraded powers/bonuses. It would be helpful if the game had a confirmation screen when exiting the app to ask whether or not you would like to save/discard your current game.<br/><br /><br/><br />The Ugly: None. No more crashes! The game was updated today and has not crashed on me since updating the app. Thank you, devs! :D</div>
