Lots of errors. Unending errors. Think of this as a graphical flash card app for help reinforcing you what you already know. Heh, been a while, and I got about 60% right on Overview Front (I did surprise myself by remembering as much as I did from my own Nurse Practitioner courses so many moons ago). When you do get something wrong, it does highlight in yellow the correct muscle group. I didn't see it at first, but the it's there; probably could use a more definite attention-grabbing highlight, though. The graphic display certainly can use a "HD" overhaul, as they are not particularly crisp. The screen interaction for answering is very, very touchy. If you accidently touch anywhere, even outside of the body in empty space, it counts as a wrong answer. And if you accidently double tap the screen, it counts it as the incorrect answer for the NEXT question too. There is a zoom-like magnifying glass, but if you don't let go over the correct place, it counts that as wrong too. So no zooming in, realizing you are in the wrong part, then letting go to get an idea of where you ought to be- Wrong. Moreover, at the beginning of a new quiz, quite often the screen doesn't respond at all.. until suddenly it registers the multiple taps I used, and then, of course, proceeds to count the next question, sing it with me, Wrong. Or doesn't register the taps whatsoever, runs out of time, and "Tra la la Wrong-O" This happens constantly, and often then followed by the app suddenly popping up Stopped Responding and force closes. This happened at least five times in the 30 minutes I spent with it. All in all, you have to be particularly precise, and even then, there are interaction hiccups. I did use it on a 10.1" screen, and frankly I can't recommend it on smartphones 5.5" or smaller. The touchy interaction would possibly make it unusable on anything but at least 7" or bigger. Still, quizzes cover: Overview Front Overview Back Head Neck Deep Back Back Abdomen Arm Forearm Arm 2 Leg Leg 2 Leg 3 Leg 4 Leg 5 Tiny install too, less than 4MB with an option to move a portion of that off Device Memory. Does request Network Access, and has AdMob in the code (advertising). Nothing else, not even analytics. I ran OFFLINE just fine, but I also ran ONLINE just to see if there was any online behavior to take note of. Nothing, so it seems the AdMob is currently inactive. I did get a More Apps prompt at the end of every quiz session In the final sum? A bit over touchy interactions, graphics rather smudgy, and the constant irregular force closing just kicks this in the gastrocnemius.</div>

I run into middle and high school students who do not know their math facts and are completely reliant on a calculator. I know that my boys will not have that problem. I am especially impressed with the different representations of numbers and operations. The progression of topics is also commendable. It only reads to one tenth of a second (0.1), not one hundredth (0.01). I could not find any way to change the setting to two decimal places. Then when first downloading you get a message asking you to abide by their terms of service, and a link is provided but you have to dig through their website to find it. Between the developer not knowing how to count decimal places, and making it so difficult to find their own information, I just feel they dropped the ball on this one.</div>

If you don't like playing on a timer, I'd just recommend playing on gem quest, as you're not timed on those levels. There's also two other categories to play: totem trial and quick play (which unlocks after you begin playing--I think after totem as I only then realized there was a new category). The main difference between gem and totem besides the timer is the "main" goal of gem is to collect all five gems and in totem, you have five "trials" to complete in order to gain a circle of the totem pole. There are also more monkeys for you to unlock, which become unlocked as you play. There's also different "abilities" to help you that can be bought with banana points. The points are pretty easy to gain (not too easy, but not hard), which you can gain them from just collecting them on the way in gem quest, from collecting in totem after completing each trial (more if you beat them in a timely manner), or from playing quick play. The controls are simple, you just touch the monkey and move your finger backward (this is how far/high the monkey will go) and you move your finger in the direction you want the monkey to go. Lucky for me, there's an arrow that helps guide you (I probably wouldn't have gotten anywhere in totem without it). The graphics are wonderful and the sounds are nice though a bit too much even on medium sound (what my kindle is normally set on)--a plus, though, there's a volume bar in the options for the music and sound. Overall, a great game and fun way to pass time. If you like playing games with replay value, this one won't let you down. I think this game would be great for children as well (maybe a bit hard for very young children). For $1, this game is well worth it and I'd definitely recommend this game.</div>

I won't go into too much detail on what this is or how it's played, because (most likely) everyone has already played it, or some variation of this amazing puzzler. The Good: - The touch controls are simply flawless, and I have not experienced any problems that other reviewers have reported about them. I only went up to level 12, but even at that speed everything responded fine. You have plenty of time to change the orientation of the Tetrimino even AFTER it falls. - "Magic" mode puts a great spin on the classic Tetris by giving you set level line clear goals and throwing in a ton of cool power ups into the mix. - There are Statistics to help you keep tracks of your lines and high scores in both modes (Marathon and Magic). - Multiple languages are supported. English, French, Dutch, Italian and Spanish. Not that there is a lot of writing here, but at least you will be able to go through the extensive options and help file in the language of your choice. - The Help menu explains pretty much all the Tetris basics, as well as new features exclusive to this game. - It's the classic Tetris I grew up on (with a few twists). - The music is fairly pleasant, mostly remixes of original and classic tunes, with a lot of new ones thrown in for good measure. Purists will hate this, I think it's a good change. - Graphics are outstanding. The blocks are big and bright, and the backgrounds are cool and bubbly (you can disable these bubbles should you want to in the options menu). - It does NOT have to be connected via WiFi or 3/4G to be played. I tried it on a tablet and two phones in airplane mode. This is a single player game. The Bad: Permissions, permissions, permissions. Oh my: - Read only access to phone state - This permission gives an application access to the IMEI, IMSI, and your phone number (as well as incoming and outgoing calls). So think of it as a massive tracking cookie that keeps tabs on everything you do, and that you had no choice in installing. Many software developers use this permissionsto track purchases and piracy. However the potential for disaster is huge here. A lot of companies will pay good money to get the information above, and once that falls into their hands... - Open network sockets - This permission gives an application free range Internet access. I still don't know why this and the above permissions are needed in a SINGLE PLAYER game. - Change network connectivity state - This permissions allows the game to enable or disable your WiFi and 3/4G connection. Most likely to force you onto one of them (probably the 3/4G one). - Access information about networks - Works in tandem with the above permission to show EA what kind of networks you are running. - No VS mode. The permissions are already here, why not take Tetris online? I would probably (not really) kill to be able to play against my friends. - $2.99? What for? There are literally hundreds of free or $.99 Tetris clones you could play on your Android device. - No picture backgrounds? I really miss the Russian Red Square and Kremlin backgrounds of PC fame. The Ugly: EA is know for excessive snooping and data mining. I stupidly installed Origin (EA's gaming service), only to have it (without my permission) import games from Steam INTO itself, as well as send spam e-mails to my address that I TO THIS DAY can't get rid of. EA's business practices and customer support are also downright terrible. I purchased a copy of Battlefield 3 through Origin and couldn't wait to play. Later that week I noticed another charge for the same Battlefield 3 copy on my credit card statement, and immediately contacted EA support. I was informed that this was a mistake and would be taken care of. Weeks later it was still not remedied. Contacting EA support again (this time I called them), I was told that I never contacted them in the first place (thankfully I had an e-mail to prove otherwise). I was then accused that I had a pirated copy of Battlefield 3... Which I bought TWICE... Long story short, I solved the problem by calling back and speaking to someone that actually knew what they were talking about, I also called my credit card company and told them to block EA and Origin from placing any more charges on my credit card for one year. I then got a full refund from them (my credit card company). To this day I am not sure if I still have a copy (or two) of Battlefield 3 on my Origin account, and I won't bother checking. This was my one and ONLY experience with Origin. I will never, ever buy another game that requires that service. I simply no longer trust EA as a company. The only company with poorer support than EA is Lenovo. My main concern about this game is that knowing EA's practices (and after reading their EULA), I just don't feel safe with giving this application all the permissions it requires. There is always airplane mode, and that is something to consider while playing this game. If it was not for the incredibly intrusive permissions, I would rate this version of Tetris a 10 out of 5 - because at heart it is still a great game. If you download it as today's FAOTD, make sure to play it in airplane mode (or if you have a rooted device, install the ad/track blocking software). Otherwise stay away. I also don't think the game in its current state is worth the $2.99 asking price. There are many free versions of Tetris that are also ad and spyware free.</div>

Although my Transformer still "Force Closes" when tying to view videos and accessing some recipes. So, that aside, here's a proper quick review. The proper rating for this app should be 5 stars, obviously if not for the technical issues it would be a 5 star as I think this has some real life value to it. Not only do you get seemingly great recipes but you also recieve lessons on what kind of equipment to use, how to use it, methods to improve your cooking, and more efficient ways of doing things. But any app that requires a work around to work properly is a ratings fiasco waiting to happen. This is much better than a 3 star but for the time and energy that appears to have gone into this, they should have tested a little better. But overall, I like the app, first impressions usually are everything, however, in this case, if you are one of the many that had/has this issue and rated this 1-star, try the workaround, once it's working, you can properly review it and maybe learn something. I know I did. As far as the expense, well, for an app it seems expensive, especially for having 61 recipes or so(when the iCookbook is $5 for 2000 recipes), but the other things included in it, I'd say it's not horribly overpriced. A lot of production went into this as well, so I won't knock it too much. If you are looking not only for a few quick recipes but tips on how to improve your cooking experience all around you wont be disappointed. That's my opinion, glad my previous review could help you guys and that others posted workarounds and such. Hopefully my update adds to the conversation. **END UPDATE** **Original review begins now** I see a one star s----storm coming so I decided to write this temporary review as a warning, apparently someone, Amazon or the dev, screwed up the DRM/licensing module or something on this app so that most phones are Force Closing after a few seconds, some showing a licensing error others just force closing. I've tried to test on 5 devices (Thunderbolt, Transformer, Galaxy S, Droid 2, Droid X) (We Heart Android!) and had the same results on all of them. Usually I don't write negative reviews because of stuff like this but this time a lot of people are going to flatten this otherwise decent looking app to the ground (most will never change their initial rating as promised). Which could really discourage this developer from developing for Android or submitting future apps for FAOTD. I don't want to see that, you don't want to see that. I will properly write this review when it can be tested but for all you FAOD users, I figured Id warn you. So download the app, if it doesn't work, they will fix it. But please report the problem. If enough people report this issue rather than rate one star and leave it, Amazon may pull it and bring it back once it's fixed before Jamie Oliver starts getting a bunch of mad, crazy, Amazon Android Free App of The Day user hate mail and/or visits to his home or show. Talk about drama. TL;DR: This app Force Closes on a lot of phones, but there is a workaround that fixes it, not for the Transformer, but most phones. It's a great app that while expensive covers much more than just recipes and for amateur cooks will likely improve your cooking. I would buy it and be happy with it, if anything because I can cook, but theres always room for improvement and I like these apps, even though I'm a guy.</div>
