You play Passepartout, the servent to Fogg, as you two attempt to circumnavigate a steampunk version of the victorian world. The game allows you to choose your own path around the world, and the developers have stated that you'll only see about 3% of the content on a typical playthrough, which means the game offers lots of replayability.<br/><br /><br/><br />Within each city, you have a number of options: the marketplace, exploring, going to the bank, staying at a hotel and planing and departing the city<br/><br />In the Marketplace, you can buy and sell items. Some items are in high demand in certain cities, and so you may be able to buy and then sell items at a profit, if your journey takes you through a city where one of your items is in high demand. Items may also make certain routes visible on the map, may make the journeys less tiresome for Fogg, may allow you to bring up the departure time of some method of transportation for cheap or free(eg, if you obtain the 2 pieces of the gentlemens outfit, it will help you on gentlemanly methods of travel), or allow you to interact with people (like offering them a drink or playing dominos with them)<br/><br />At the Bank you can take out a loan/withdrawal. Generally, the higher the loan you want, the longer you have to stay in the city to obtain it. There may be a limit on how much you can take out, though I haven't used this option much.<br/><br />You can explore, which offers you narrative segments with options (think of these as short choose your own adventure tales) - the result of this may be obtaining some item or discovering some new routes from the city. These narritive segments are the heart of the game, and I'll talk more of it later.<br/><br />You can stay the night in the hotel, which usually gives the option of caring for Fogg, doing a little bit of work for a little money, or some narrative options.<br/><br />Planning and Departing are the same screen, the only difference is that you can't depart unless theres a scheduled departure, otherwise you can only see what routes are available (as I stated previously, you may be able to bring up a departure).<br/><br /><br/><br />While in transportation, there re also narrative options available, or conversational options that may give you some insight on the city youre going to or what routes lie ahead. Or you could choose to take care of Fogg or read the latest news.<br/><br />Depending on what travel method you're going through, you may only have limited space for luggage, so you may need to sell off some items to make room, or in some cases, you can pay more to have more room. Also, depending on the method, travel will bring down the health of Fogg. Some items may reduce or prevent this, and you can also spend time taking care of him to raise his health.<br/><br /><br/><br />As I said before, the meat of the game are the narrative structures. It really feels like a adventure story with lots of little adventure vignettes: You may be robbed and have to deal with thieves, try to solve a murder, Learn about some secret new technology, avoid a city under siege, go undercover, go boxing, try to convince a captain to go faster, have a romance. Some storylines may cover multiple cities or legs of a journey (well, provided you go on that path - it's also possible to lose that storyline if you've decided to go a different route, or if you've made a wrong decision).<br/><br /><br/><br />Its no wonder this was Time's Game of the Year. Excellent game. Highly recommended.</div>

My grandson who is 11 years old saw me playing it and he took the tablet from me and he was better than I was at playing the game. He also quickly finished it.<br/><br /><br/><br />This game has marvelous graphics and the thought and design effort put into the development of this app is just amazing. I recommend it to you as a lot of fun. I enjoy it!<br/><br /><br/><br />+++++++++++++++++<br/><br /><br/><br />This is a very unique game that forces you to think in three dimensions and use your spatial skills in resolving three dimensional shapes and forms. The graphics and music of the game are professionally done and the game held my interests so much that I could not stop playing it. The time just flew by!<br/><br /><br/><br />The app only has 10 levels and I found it to be very short. I enjoyed it so much that I was upset when I finished it with about 2 1/2 hours of play. I spent a lot of that on level 6.<br/><br /><br/><br />The app is a different type of mind teaser that I really enjoyed. It was pure concentration and solving the maze without a time limit and without being killed every 30 seconds. I do wish that it was longer and I think for the price it should have been. I have to admit that I would still have purchased the app as I enjoyed it that much. Rarely do I get a game that I become so engrossed in that I can't stop playing.<br/><br /><br/><br />The app is large at 159 MB but it automatically installed 141 MB into my SD card and 17.65 MB onto my device memory. When I finished the app the memory used 160 MB by saving some additional data to my SD card and device memory.<br/><br /><br/><br />Permissions:<br/><br />* Modify or delete the contents of your USB storage<br/><br />* Full internet access<br/><br />* View network connections<br/><br />* Prevent tablet from sleeping.<br/><br /><br/><br />The game does use both Amazon and Flurry Analytics to monitor your game play behavior and how its software is performing. Since the permissions are so limited there is no personal data being viewed. The app also uses Amazon Game Circle and Google Play Services.<br/><br /><br/><br />I liked the game so much that I immediately looked to see if the developer had released any more apps like this. Unfortunately I did not find any. This app is a very good one and I enjoyed it a lot.</div>

Angry Birds and Cut the Rope, et al, are fun, but I can only play them in short stints.<br/><br /><br/><br />Based on positive reviews I decided to give Plague Inc. a try, and after downloading it I played for about 5 hours nonstop.<br/><br /><br/><br />If you can get past the creepy concept that you're trying to wipe out humanity, (which, c'mon, you can do it, it's just a game) this game hits a very sweet spot in that it's easy to learn, but has plenty of depth to add variety to each game. Plus, there are 5 (or more?) plague types. You start with Bacterial, then once you win a game on Normal difficulty you unlock Viral. I haven't beaten Viral yet because my hosts die before the infection can spread! I like that - it's this sort of detail that can make or break a game.<br/><br /><br/><br />Now, you can spend a bunch more money to unlock things, but the game says you can unlock everything just by playing. I think it would cost something close to $20 to instantly buy everything. I DID pay an extra $.99 to unlock a gene (or whatever) where I get extra DNA when popping a blue "cure" bubble. Later in a game when the DNA is hard to come by, this has been helpful - I think it's 2-3 points per bubble, so it's not like it makes the game too easy, just helps a little bit.<br/><br /><br/><br />Anyway, if you're looking for something with more depth, this game is a ton of fun. I'm going to keep an eye on this developer.</div>

It doesn't sound like much, but the ability to make a micro RC helicopter, a string, and a dynamite leads to some fun times.<br/><br /><br/><br />The game itself is very good in length. There is plenty to do, and even a sandbox mode accessible right from the start. Future updates, will also be adding more maps to play.<br/><br /><br/><br />The gameplay, polish, charm, and openness to the game is enough to warrant a purchase. This isn't one of those gimmicky tablet games. This is the reason why we play games.<br/><br /><br/><br />5/5 Enjoy!</div>

If you don't like playing on a timer, I'd just recommend playing on gem quest, as you're not timed on those levels. There's also two other categories to play: totem trial and quick play (which unlocks after you begin playing--I think after totem as I only then realized there was a new category). The main difference between gem and totem besides the timer is the "main" goal of gem is to collect all five gems and in totem, you have five "trials" to complete in order to gain a circle of the totem pole.<br/><br /><br/><br />There are also more monkeys for you to unlock, which become unlocked as you play. There's also different "abilities" to help you that can be bought with banana points. The points are pretty easy to gain (not too easy, but not hard), which you can gain them from just collecting them on the way in gem quest, from collecting in totem after completing each trial (more if you beat them in a timely manner), or from playing quick play.<br/><br /><br/><br />The controls are simple, you just touch the monkey and move your finger backward (this is how far/high the monkey will go) and you move your finger in the direction you want the monkey to go. Lucky for me, there's an arrow that helps guide you (I probably wouldn't have gotten anywhere in totem without it). The graphics are wonderful and the sounds are nice though a bit too much even on medium sound (what my kindle is normally set on)--a plus, though, there's a volume bar in the options for the music and sound.<br/><br /><br/><br />Overall, a great game and fun way to pass time. If you like playing games with replay value, this one won't let you down. I think this game would be great for children as well (maybe a bit hard for very young children). They forget to mention the great benefit this Surface Pro 3 has for students! I'm going to give 6 reasons why the Surface 3 is great for students, such as myself.<br/><br /><br/><br />First, a quick about me. I am currently a biochemistry major in college and while taking 20 units last quarter, most days I would have to carry 5 notebooks, occasionally 1-2 textbooks, 1-2 lab notebooks, and my surface RT tablet. In short, my backpack was thick and heavy.<br/><br /><br/><br />Introduce, the Surface Pro 3, and the 6 reasons why it is absolutely great for students.<br/><br /><br/><br />1) It can replace your notebooks for note taking.<br/><br />With the new surface pen and larger screen, taking notes is a breeze. Writing on it feels great, though a little slippery, but great nonetheless. Now, I have no need for my 5 notebooks or the many colored pens that I would carry. With Onenote, all my notes are organized and will stay that way. And since it backs up to the cloud, accessing it from anywhere is a great convenience. Having my notes for me to study at any time on my phone ensures I can always have my access to my notes. In short, it organized my school life and made my bag lighter and thinner.<br/><br /><br/><br />2) It can replace your textbooks.<br/><br />Because of its 12 inch, high resolution, paper-like screen, reading e-book versions of textbooks, as well as PDF's, feels "normal" if that makes sense. The 1.76 pound SP3 greatly reduces the weight of my Physics, O-chem, and Biology textbooks in my backpack. Also, having textbooks on my surface means I’ll never have the scenario where I accidentally leave my textbook at my home/dorm/apartment. Another bonus, the ability to use the Surface Pen to mark up PDF's and textbooks allows for great in-text note taking and editing.<br/><br /><br/><br />3) It can replace your tablet.<br/><br />Looking at the SP3 as just a tablet, there is one obvious drawback, the lack of the overall amount of apps in the Windows App Store when compared to that of iOS and Android. Note however that you can install desktop applications on the SP3. More on that later. Although the Windows Market is small, it has most of the general apps that people use on tablets (Facebook, Twitter, Netflix, Skype, etc.) For apps like Youtube and Instagram, you can find non-official apps that simulate the official one quite well. There are also a hand full of fun games you can find on the windows market. Many review say it's a ghost town, but it you look around you can find some pretty good apps. All this tablet talk is important to me as a student because there are times, of course, when I don't want to study or have free time. Simple apps can keep me occupied will during gaps between classes, or when I'm at home and want to play a quick game or use Netflix.<br/><br /><br/><br />4) It can replace your laptop.<br/><br />This is Microsoft's main theme for this product. And in short, it can, given some compromises. It runs full Window's 8.1 Professional so most (if not all) of the desktop applications that can be run on Windows is compatible. This is great if you have specific programs you need to run, or just want to install popular programs like Spotify or Steam. This makes the whole "lack of apps" problem not as significant. Speaking of programs, I like to run Steam for playing games. The SP3 is not a gaming machine by any standard, but on low settings it can run games at a playable frame rate. I have the i5 processer, 8 gigs of RAM, 256 ssd version and it runs smoothly and quickly when running everyday tasks, much like a laptop. Also, the Type Cover Keyboard is greatly improved from the previous generations. If you are going to be typing for long periods of time, it may not be the best for you. But for everything else it works great. The second magnetic strip that attaches to the bezel provides great support. The touchpad is a little small, but once you get used to it that doesn’t become a problem. I suggest trying one out for yourself because everyone is different. Lastly, the new kickstand allows for many angles in which you can position the surface. Again, I suggest testing a surface for yourself. In the end, it’s not exactly like a laptop, but it can do all the things an Ultrabook can.<br/><br /><br/><br />5) It can simulate a desktop.<br/><br />With a monitor/tv, and Bluetooth keyboard and mouse, this tablet can be connected to a screen and run a dual-screen interface. This is what I do and it makes a huge difference. A larger than 12 inch screen and full keyboard and mouse simulates a desktop feel. Being able to come back to my room and plug in my SP3, and just as easily disconnect the SP3 and leave, makes me ultra-portable and efficient.<br/><br /><br/><br />6) All of this, and its 1.76 lbs and 0.36 inch thin.<br/><br />Even if you don’t like the SP3, its undeniable that it is a great piece of hardware. Students are always on the move and having a light device like this, that can replace a multitude of things in your backpack, is a real convenience. No more thick textbooks, no more having to carry multiple notebooks, and no more need to carry a laptop and tablet. Less weight, less thickness. From my experience, I can get anywhere from 6-10 hours of battery life. It really depends what you’re doing and what your settings are. The SP3 should be able last the whole day for most student class schedules.<br/><br /><br/><br />In closing, if you are a student and are looking for something for school, take a look at the SP3. Is it expensive, yes. But it is an incredibly versatile piece of technology that can help to simplify your life. I hope this review helped and thanks for reading! (P.S. However, if you do NOT enjoy scary games, or find discomfort whilst playing them, I do not recommend you buy this unless you are up to the challenge. For those of you posting reviews that this game is overly scary, you shouldn't have bought it despite the warnings, as this game was specifically designed to be scary. For those of you saying it's boring or not scary, you need to learn to appreciate a good game, as I've seen ones worse than this. As for the crashing, I'm not sure, but I haven't really had any problems with it so far, well, for me. This game could be easy or very difficult, depending on you. If it is easy, you can always do night 6 or see if you can do the custom night with all on extreme. If it's too hard, I recommend reading some of these tips.<br/><br />TIPS: (If you don't want help, just ignore this..)<br/><br />Bonnie The Rabbit-Night 1+: She/he?... is the most active animatronic of the game, mostly for earlier nights but throughout the entire game. (At least for me.) Bonnie can also disable the camera, during which can teleport, but Foxy can also move during this. Bonnie can only enter through your left door, so it's good to regularly check your left light. For me, cameras weren't that useful, as all I needed to check was my left light, but it's still good to know where they are. Bonnie can appear on any left-side camera except Foxy's one. Upon discovering Bonnie while checking your light, don't panic and immediately close your door. Bonnie has a longer reaction time and is generally quick to leave. If you see a shadow, Bonnie is still there. If you don't, I would open my door to conserve energy, but keep in mind Bonnie can show up anywhere at anytime.<br/><br />Chica The Chicken-Night 1+: She is similar to Bonnie, but is still different. She isn't very active, more common on later nights. I don't often see her on Night 1, but it is still quite possible. Despite being less active, she commonly lingers by your door longer, draining your power. You can also check for her using your light, but if you see her and close your door, instead of a shadow you can see her through the window. She will enter through your right door instead of left. Her route she will follow will go from Show Stage Cam 1A to Dining Area Cam 1B to Restrooms Cam 7 to Kitchen Cam 6 to East Hall cameras 4A-4B, since only Bonnie can teleport. If you hear banging pots and pans in the kitchen, it's a sign Chica is there. She has a shorter reaction time than Bonnie, so be sure close the door quicker.<br/><br />Foxy The Pirate-Night 2+: He is more unique from the others. He may seem inactive, but is a great threat. He is located in camera 1C, and starts out behind the curtains, but, with your camera, if you check him too little, he'll slowly come out. However, on later nights, if you check him too much, he will also start to come out. Perhaps check on him about every once every 3 times you open your camera. Well, it depends on how often you open your camera. This coming out has four stages. He begins with closed curtains, then peeks his head out, then appears to have his whole body out, then is completely gone, which is when the sign may change to "IT'S ME". Be more cautious after each stage, as it means he is closer to coming out. Should you check up on him and find the last stage, as fast as you can, DO NOT change cameras, close your camera and shut your left door, that's where he always enters from. Wait until you hear three knocks and three footsteps and open it. He has just sprinted through the hallway and took some of your power. The amount taken starts at 1% and increases by 5% each time, so try not to check him too much or little. He can also barge through your left door on Night 1 if you stand idle for a while or never check your camera. Otherwise, it's really rare.<br/><br />Freddy the Bear-Night 4+: The main animatronic and a strong threat. On the first 2 nights, he will stay in the Show Stage, Cam 1A. On the 3rd night, he will wander. You may hear laughter and music from the kitchen, but he doesn't attack until night 4. He follows the same route Chica does, but rarely backtracks or wanders, unlike Chica or Bonnie. When you run out of power, Freddy will peek at you from the left door. You then have anywhere from about 15-50 seconds before death. Average is 32. There's nothing you can do during this but wait, but try not to move, as it may speed it up. Freddy enters from the right door, but like Foxy, checking your light won't help. Freddy also likes the dark, so he is hard to spot, but you may see white eyes. In the dining room, check for white eyes in the back. In the kitchen, listen for his music. (Not Foxy's singing, real music.) If you hear it, he's in the kitchen. He will laugh every time he moves. If he laughs and there is no music in the kitchen, check East Hall Corner. If he is there, immediately close your camera and shut the right door, and wait for two more laughs until you hear him retreating. It's good to keep an eye on him if you want to survive him. If you close both doors when not necessary, he can get you.<br/><br />Golden Freddy: Like an Easter Egg of the game. In West Hall Corner, you may see him on any night, but most commonly the 1st or 3rd nights. Try to avoid checking this unless you really want to see him. If you do see him and close your camera, he will be in your room. After a few seconds, he will kill you and most likely crash your game. If you see him in your room, just put up your camera and he will disappear.<br/><br />Just try to remain cool throughout gameplay, check your cameras, check your<br/><br />lights, and only close your door if needed, opening up as soon as safe. I would only keep my cameras up a few seconds at a time, same with lights. Also, it helps to close your right door every time before checking your camera. (Freddy.) I myself use lights for Chica and Bonnie and cameras for Foxy and Freddy. If Chica or Bonnie sneak in, you will either die or they will disable the right or left doors and lights. It is worth the money if you enjoy it like I do. (Meh I write wayyyyy too much)</div>
